E-logic is seeking a Database Administrator / SQL Server DBA to support the Data Mart Program from Indian Health Service (IHS). In this role, you will utilize deep technical expertise in relational database systems (SQL Server / DB2), data modeling, and performance tuning to manage, secure, and optimize complex data marts and automated data refresh processes essential to agency-wide health analytics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Convert logical data models into physical database structures.
  • Optimize physical databases to support OLTP and OLAP environments, including query tuning, index optimization, and security setup.
  • Manage data integrity, automated database refresh routines, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Conduct system security assessments, access control configurations, and risk management activities in compliance with federal guidelines (NIST, FIPS).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in database administration with SQL Server and/or DB2.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, index optimization, backup/recovery, and security controls.
