Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Database Administrator for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate with strong expertise in managing production clusters across EKS and GKE to ensure scalable and secure cloud operations.
Rate Range: $64/Hour to $68/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Database Administrator Job Responsibilities include:
Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters across AWS EKS and GKE/Anthos environments.
Perform cluster operations including upgrades, RBAC configuration, autoscaling, and ingress management.
Implement monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, Jenkins, and GitOps practices.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform following IaC best practices.
Ensure security hardening, networking policies, and performance optimization of cloud-native systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6-8 years of experience in Kubernetes administration and cloud infrastructure.
Strong hands-on expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE/Anthos) along with AWS services and Terraform (IaC).
Proven experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana for production environments.

Pay Details: $64.00 to $68.00 per hour
