Position Summary The Data Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and performance of enterprise data platforms and database environments. This role ensures data is accurate, secure, compliant, and accessible only to authorized users. The Data Administrator supports system reliability through software installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery processes. This position also includes responsibilities relevant to SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) administration, including user access management, platform support, data connectivity, governance, and performance monitoring for enterprise analytics and reporting solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Data Security and Privacy
Implement and maintain role-based access controls to ensure data is available only to authorized users.
Protect sensitive information and support compliance with data privacy and security requirements.
Maintain security-related documentation, access records, and audit support materials.
Administer user roles and permissions in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Performance Optimization
Monitor database and platform performance to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
Tune queries, optimize configurations, and recommend hardware or software adjustments to improve speed and scalability.
Support performance and usability of analytics, dashboards, and reporting environments in SAP Analytics Cloud.
User Support and Collaboration
Assist data analysts, developers, and business users with database integration, schema design, and data-related troubleshooting.
Support connectivity between source systems and analytics platforms.
Provide administrative support for SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud users, including provisioning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data quality, consistency, and reporting needs.
SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud and SAC Administration
Administer SAP Datasphere spaces, connections, access controls, and governance processes.
Support data integration between SAP and non-SAP systems.
Assist with data modeling, semantic layer support, and data availability for reporting and analytics.
Administer SAP Analytics Cloud users, roles, teams, and security settings.
Support SAC stories, models, dashboards, and planning environments.
Monitor platform usage and troubleshoot access, connectivity, and performance issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience administering relational database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar enterprise data and analytics platforms.
Understanding data governance, privacy, and compliance principles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of database administration principles and best practices
Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
Understanding of role-based security and access management
Working knowledge of SQL and database query optimization
Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and analytics tools
Knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud administration concepts
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP data and analytics technologies
Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms
Familiarity with data integration tools and enterprise reporting environments
Relevant technical certifications in database, SAP, or cloud technologies
