BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, or designee, the Database and Applications Engineer is to design production databases and provide support for specific applications. Create, develop, implement, and maintain complex, interactive applications for various administrative and service areas. Design, code, test, document business processes, administer web/database services for client/web application support.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university, preferably with coursework in management information systems, computer science, information technology, or a related field AND two years of experience installing and maintaining enterprise data base systems and web infrastructure OR An associate degree from a recognized college, preferably with coursework in management information systems, computer science, information technology, or a related field AND four years of experience installing and maintaining enterprise data base systems and web infrastructure OR Graduation from a high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency AND seven years of experience installing and maintaining enterprise data base systems and web infrastructure LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver''s license.

All application materials must be submitted with a VCOE application as a complete package. A complete application package must include the following:

  • Copy of Transcript (If applicable )
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 letters signed and dated within the last 18 months [LETTERS MUST BE SIGNED AND DATED])
  • Resume
