Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level database architectures and data models
- Evaluate and implement database technologies including relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based solutions
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema design
- Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to define data requirements and solutions
- Establish and enforce database standards, best practices, and governance policies
- Lead database migration, integration, and modernization initiatives
- Monitor database health, security, and disaster recovery planning
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in database architecture, design, or administration
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
