Description
Job Title: Database Automation Engineer
Location: Chandler, AZ (hybrid)
Hourly pay: Up to $70/W2 only
Duration: 12 months assignment with possible extension
Leads the design and implementation of automated patching and vulnerability remediation solutions across database platforms (DB2, CockroachDB, AlloyDB Omni). Focuses on delivering secure, resilient, and fully automated database operations in hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated, end-to-end patching and remediation solutions
- Manage vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with security standards
- Build scalable, resilient architectures across hybrid cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Develop automation using Python, APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver production-ready solutions
Primary Skill:

- Experience in regulated enterprise environments
- Exposure to observability tools (monitoring, logging, tracing)
- Experience with large-scale, multi-tenant platforms
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with DB2 (required)
- Experience with distributed databases (CockroachDB, PostgreSQL/AlloyDB preferred)
- Experience with automated patching / vulnerability remediation
- Knowledge of container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Proficiency in Python and automation frameworks
