Database Developer

Location: Hybrid, Remote, or Onsite (Local candidates preferred, but fully remote candidates will be considered)

Pay: $47 - $49 Per Hour

Employment Type: Contract

Work Authorization: USC or Green Card holders only

Overview

We are seeking a Database Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions that support critical business applications. This role will be responsible for database development, SQL performance tuning, ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL development experience, hands-on ETL expertise using SSIS, and a solid understanding of relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain database objects and structures
• Create, test, and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability
• Analyze database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements
• Design and model relational databases to support business requirements
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS
• Build interfaces that allow applications and systems to integrate with database environments
• Create and execute test plans to validate new and modified database solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
• Ensure data integrity, security, and reliability across database environments
• Manage and support scheduled SQL jobs
• Partner with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective database solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible programming or database development experience
• Strong SQL development skills
• Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Experience designing and maintaining relational database structures
• Strong understanding of ETL processes with hands-on SSIS experience
• Experience optimizing SQL queries and database performance
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with .NET development
• Experience using GitHub or source control platforms

Additional Information

• Hybrid or remote work arrangements may be available
• Local candidates are preferred; however, exceptional out-of-state candidates will be considered for fully remote work
• Candidate location must be included with all submissions
