Database Developer

Location: Colorado (required)

Work Model: Hybrid (Aurora, CO - balanced remote & onsite)

Developmental Pathways (DP) is looking for a Database Developer to support the technical building, maintenance, and optimization of SQL Server databases and the enterprise data warehouse. This is an opportunity to focus on database and data warehouse development, ETL/ELT pipeline construction, and data modeling, building the reliable data structures that power enterprise reporting and orchestration across the organization.

As a core member of the Data and Development team, the Database Developer translates data architecture decisions and business requirements into well-structured databases, warehouse objects, and integration pipelines.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build and optimize scalable SQL Server, ETL/ELT, and data warehouse solutions

  • Develop and maintain databases, SSIS processes, and reporting objects that support enterprise reporting and analytics

  • Improve performance, reliability, and data quality through tuning, validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement

  • Support data governance, documentation, and compliance standards across the data platform

  • Contribute to Agile project delivery and collaborate closely with data and business stakeholders to meet organizational needs

What You Bring

Required Experience

  • Strong technical depth and expertise in SQL Server development and T-SQL

  • 4+ years of experience as a Database Developer, SQL Developer, or similar role

  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, and Power BI support

  • Knowledge of data warehousing, schema design, and ETL/ELT processes

  • Strong skills in query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning

  • Analytical problem-solver with strong database design capabilities

  • Effective communicator able to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and tools

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related or business studies field and three (3) years of related experience, or

  • Associate's degree and five (5) to seven (7) years of related work experience, or

  • Seven (7) years of related work experience

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside in Colorado

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (or approved alternative)

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Nice to Have

  • Data Vault 2.0 experience

  • Agile tools (Azure DevOps Boards)

  • Microsoft Certifications (Azure Database Administrator Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent)

  • Working knowledge of Power BI and CMS regulatory reporting

We are a designated Case Management Agency (CMA) for long-term care services and are one of Colorado's Community Centered Boards (CCB), connecting people to federal, state, county, and private funding. What We Do

As a Community Centered Board, Developmental Pathways provides support to those we serve and their loved ones through intake, eligibility enrollment, and case management services and supports. We are devoted to ensuring that all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and delays receive support by engaging our community in the innovation and implementation of person and family centered practices.

Early Intervention

This program serves families with children 0 – 3 years old. Our Early Intervention Service Coordinators partner with local school districts to perform initial evaluations and assess a child’s development allowing us to provide them and their families with the tools to help them reach their full potential. We also have a dedicated team of Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapists consisting of both in-house and independent contractors.

Case Management

Case Management is a collaborative processes of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation and advocacy. Our Case Managers and Case Management Specialists take a person-centered approach in assisting those we serve and their families in living a more meaningful life. We strive to empower individuals to have control of their lives and make safe and informed choices.

Community Outreach

Our supportive Coordinators in the Community Outreach Department are dedicated to addressing the unmet needs of the individuals and families we serve by helping them to navigate a variety of resources, offering trainings on a variety of topics, holding resource fairs and connecting them with services through our Family Support Services Program.
