responsibilities:

Data Engineer 3 Focused on Maxit Product


Data Engineer 2 Focused on Broadridge Product


Key responsibilities:


Writing and executing queries to test and validate data


Performing detailed reconciliation across internal systems and vendor platforms


Extracting, analyzing, and validating large data sets for tax reporting and cost basis


Supporting defect investigation and root cause analysis


Designing and building targeted in-house automation solutions (Alteryx, Power BI, PowerApps) to complement vendor platforms


Primary requirement: Strong technical foundation to understand development conversations, provide test scripts, and challenge vendor solutions


Primary Focus: Data-centric engineering roles focused on testing support, data validation, and reconciliation (these are not infrastructure positions)


Technical skills:


Advanced SQL (required)


Alteryx, Power BI, PowerApps, Oracle - all equally important (not hierarchical)


Python NOT REQUIRED


Oracle acceptable if candidate can propose new automation ideas; team shifting away from Microsoft Access databases


Preferred background:


Experience supporting system implementation or data conversions; track record working with business teams during testing phases; exposure to tax, cost basis, or regulatory reporting requirements


Financial services experience: Highly preferred but technical skills prioritized over operations background for this role


Extra Qualifications (required):


Candidate must have excellent communication skills. They will be working as a bridge between the technology and business side teams and must be able to speak both languages.


They will also be providing test scripts and will be asked to challenge vendor solutions when needed




qualifications:

2+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
