Position Summary:

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Database Manager providing support to the NC3 Contract and specifically the NCO division. 

 

The AFNWC/NC3 Integration Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, with an operating location at Kirtland AFB, NM. The NC3 Directorate’s mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3 and staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs. It consists of an Executive Section, Engineering (EN), Financial Management (FM), Operations Management (OM), Information Protection (IP), Contracts (PK), Cyber, Logistics (LG), the Program Execution Group (PEG) and Intelligence (IN).

 

The NCO Division is responsible for the execution of all the support functions within the Directorate. The support functions are comprised of Human Resources, Training, Commander’s Support Staff, Facility Management, Security, and Information Technology (IT) support.

 

This is a full time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA.

Responsibilities:

The Database Manager shall be able to plan, develop, implement, and administer information systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.

 

Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:

  • SharePoint Administration:
    • Manage the SharePoint environment, including installation, configuration, security, and maintenance.
    • Create and manage site collections, subsites, content types, workflows, and permissions.
    • Develop and implement strategies for data migration, backup, and recovery.
    • Monitor resource utilization and performance and ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Data Management:
    • Design and implement data governance policies and procedures.
    • Develop strategies for data organization, storage, and access control.
    • Ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Create reports and dashboards to visualize and analyze data for informed decision-making.
  • O365 Collaboration Suite Expertise:
    • Possess in-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft OneDrive, Teams, Power Apps, Power BI, Flow, and other relevant O365 collaborative tools.
    • Design and develop custom solutions using Power Apps and Flow to automate processes and improve user experience.
    • Create interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide valuable insights into data.
    • Provide guidance and support to end-users on utilizing the entire O365 ecosystem effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs and requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy O365 solutions.
    • Provide clear and concise training and documentation for end-users.

Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have ad be able to maintain a Top Secret Clearance

Education: BA/BS Degree

Years of Experience: 3 - 7 year of relevant work experience 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience administering SharePoint and managing data within a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Power Apps, Power BI, and Flow.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy custom solutions using Power Apps and Flow.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working within the Department of Defense, or a similar government agency is highly preferred
