CTG is seeking to fill a Databricks Administrator – DBT / Snowflake position for our client.
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 11 months
Duties:
- Administer and support Databricks environments, including workspace configuration, access management, security, and performance monitoring.
- Support data engineering and business intelligence initiatives leveraging Databricks, dbt, and Snowflake.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and data transformation processes.
- Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, architects, and business stakeholders to support enterprise data solutions.
- Assist with data modeling, data architecture, and the design of scalable analytics solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements across the data platform.
- Support integration of Databricks and Snowflake with AWS-based data and analytics environments.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation, reporting, and analytics.
- Ensure data solutions follow established security, governance, performance, and reliability standards.
Skills:
- Data Engineering and Databricks administration skills.
- Business Intelligence (BI) design and development skills.
- Strong hands-on technical experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
- Understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
- Understanding of AWS cloud technologies and services.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex queries.
- Experience with dbt and modern data transformation practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience administering and supporting Databricks environments.
- Experience working with Snowflake in enterprise data environments.
- Experience with data engineering, BI, data pipelines, and data transformation.
- Experience with dbt and SQL-based data development.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably within AWS.
- Experience designing or supporting data models and data architectures.
- Experience troubleshooting data platform, pipeline, and performance issues.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
