Be part of our team and lead a nurturing classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and develop. The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and supporting age-appropriate learning experiences while building positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.

Responsibilities:

• Weekly Lesson Plans
• Monthly Newsletter Article
• Attendance at Lead Teacher Meetings
• Maintain credentials and training to that of a Lead as specified by Licensing Requirements and that of CVLearns Policy
• Training and guidance of subordinate staff (i.e., Class Assistants and Support Staff)
• Classroom operations (laundry, activities, sanitization)
• Meeting WAC Minimum licensing requirements for your classroom and the center
• Setting example as role models to other team members
• USDA Meal Counts
• Classroom Attendance and Reporting (knowing counts at all times)
• Child Behavior Guidance and Reporting
• Parent relations and notification
• Injury/Incident Reporting
• Safety Supervision

Requirements

• Genuine passion for working with young children
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible
• Strong communication skills
• Must meet Washington State childcare licensing requirements (or be willing to obtain)
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
