Day Porter Bixby

Position Title:	Daytime Cleaner		Reports to :	ADS Coordinator
FLSA Status:	Non-Exempt

Summary/Objective
The Daytime Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the facility throughout the day. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for participants, staff and visitors.

Essential Functions/Job Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and wiping down surfaces in common areas.
• Monitor and restock restroom supplies.
• Clean restrooms as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain lobby, hallways and other high-traffic areas to ensure they are clean and presentable.
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and ensure proper disposal.
• Respond promptly to spills, messes, and other janitorial emergencies.
• Clean glass doors, windows and entryways for a polished appearance.
• On occasion, assist with large group event/meeting setups or breakdowns as assigned.
• On occasion, ssist with van cleanliness (interior vaccumming, windows, sanitize/disinfect), as assigned.
• Report maintenance issues to the building's ADS Coordinator.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior expereince in janitorial, custodial, or porter services perferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to represent individuals and the agency in a professional manner

Working Conditions
This position operates in a variety of settings including indoor and/or outdoor environments depending on building needs as assigned. This role routinely uses standard cleaning equipment and tools.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. Individual must be able to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Position Type
This is a part-time position. Days of the week and hours will be assigned based on the needs of the building at the time of hire.
