    Role Description The Day Porter at Cleaners of America (COA) is a part-time, on-site role located in Lexington, KY. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of client facilities throughout the day, including regular trash removal, restroom restocking and sanitation, surface wiping, and common area upkeep. The Day Porter will address immediate cleaning needs, such as spills or messes, and perform light maintenance tasks such as spot vacuuming, dusting, and organizing shared spaces. This position interacts regularly with building occupants and management to respond to service requests, monitor supply levels, and ensure that the facility meets COA’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.

    • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and coworkers.
    • \n
    • Experience acting as a Gatekeeper for facility standards, monitoring common areas and addressing issues promptly.
    • \n
    • Ability to support Training and Education related to cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and use of equipment.
    • \n
    • Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or day porter roles in commercial or institutional settings is a must.
    • \n
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights throughout the shift, following safety guidelines.
    • \n
    • Reliable attendance, time management, and attention to detail in completing assigned tasks and checklists.
    • \n
    • Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and OSHA safety practices is preferred.
