Day Shift Data Center Security Officer – Springfield, NE

Day-shift security officer job at a data center in Springfield, NE with Signal of Omaha. You'll control the site entrance from the guard shack, checking badges, vehicle permits and IDs, and keep a visible, professional security presence on site.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule (day shift; two shifts available)

• Shift 1: Monday–Tuesday 6:00am–6:00pm; Wednesday 6:00am–2:00pm
• Shift 2: Thursday–Saturday 6:00am–6:00pm

Location: Springfield, NE 68059. In-person work

Requirements

• 18 or older
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to pass a background check and drug test
• Working smartphone with data (used for reports)
• Your own vehicle or reliable transportation to and from work
• Able to follow site-specific security orders
• We're looking for a skilled, experienced security officer. Ideal candidates have a keen eye for detail, conflict management experience and excellent customer service skills

What you'll do

• Control entry and exit from the on-site guard shack: check badges and vehicle permits and confirm IDs
• Stay highly visible and aware, and report unusual or suspicious activity to the security team
• Enforce security protocols and procedures to prevent and reduce security risks
• Work with law enforcement when needed and follow all relevant laws and regulations
• Treat employees, visitors and the public professionally and respectfully
• Keep accurate, detailed records of security incidents and activities
• Wear required PPE (gloves, hard hat, reflective vest, eye protection, etc.) whenever you exit the company vehicle
