JOB DESCRIPTION:
*Clear chips from machines and ensure chip bins, conveyors, and coolant systems are properly maintained.
*Monitor and maintain machine fluids, including coolant levels and concentration, way lube/grease, and air oil levels.
*Clean coolant tank filters, screens, and cooling fan air filters; verify proper operation of coolant pumps and high-pressure coolant systems.
*Download and verify correct CNC programs from the server in accordance with company procedures.
*Select, inspect, and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures to ensure accurate production.
*Verify program details including customer code, part number, revision, operation code, tooling descriptions, offsets, and setup information.
*Perform probing, locating, and tool length offset functions to properly establish machine work offsets.
*Review blueprints, engineering documents, setup sheets, and work instructions prior to production; seek clarification when needed.
*Monitor machine operation, verify tool changes, and confirm correct tool and offset positioning.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*High School Diploma/GED
*Advanced hands-on skills in Machine Operation
*On-the-job training or vocational training in machining is required
*Computer, math, programming, and machine setup skills, highly preferred
