PAY RANGE: $113,000 - 126,000
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for Day Shift production work by craft employees, schedules, staffing levels and coordinates work in order to meet or exceed estimated targets for safety, quality, delivery, cost and schedule outcomes. Ensures customers have a positive and satisfying experience with Vigor. Interfaces with the Project Managers in generating executable plans to deliver satisfactory outcomes executing the work. Assists in mitigation strategies as soon as variances from schedule are identified. Partners with craft supervisors to identify resource needs, and assembles teams of production workers for completion of project work. Supports process improvement in other departments that share interdependencies by providing expertise, practical realities, and other experience-based knowledge, of relevant areas to their teams.

Must use sound judgment and independent decision making when carrying out job responsibilities. The role reports to the Director of Operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
The team in total is composed of up to 200 employees, which includes Craft Supervisors and hourly craft employees of various trade disciplines. In depth knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreements for the various trades.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:
The Production Craft Managers coordinate teaming efforts with other managers and supervisors at various levels in the business unit. The position represents the Company through formal and informal interactions with the customer, regulatory body inspectors and union business agents/ shop stewards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced shipyard with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity in the shipyard. 70% normal office environment; 30% of time spent in production areas in the facility and aboard ships. Must be able to walk to and from job sites. Must be able to frequently climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders, enter confined areas/tanks and must be able to work at heights. Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, and twist regularly. May be required to work more than 8-hour shifts and weekend work on occasion.
