JOB TITLE: Street Sweeper CDL-B - Full-Time

LOCATION: Walton Hills, OH HOURS: 1st Shift, Occasional Nights and Weekends, Schedule Subject to Change Based on Business Needs

COMPENSATION: $22.00 per hour

TRAVEL: Minimal 1-10

Your daily impact

As our next Street Sweeper, you will be at the heart of our mission-delivering essential services that help improve public safety and enhance environmental quality. In this role, you will take ownership of assigned routes, drive the street sweeper, and operate specialized equipment to keep streets clean and well-maintained.

Route Execution

• Review routes in advance • Ask clarifying questions as needed • Complete assigned work on time with attention to quality

Safety & Inspections

• Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections • Ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work

Equipment & Material Handling

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently • Follow traffic laws and site protocols • Handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures

Reporting & Documentation

• Promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns • Accurately complete required logs and paperwork

Professional Communication

• Represent the Company professionally • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients

Adaptability & Reliability

• Respond effectively to changing conditions • Solve problems as they arise • Maintain regular, predictable attendance

Minimum Job Requirements

• Education: High School or GED • Experience: 1 year DOT driving experience - waste & recycling services experience preferred • License: CDL-B & DOT Medical Card • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age • Compliance: Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record MVR check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.

• Work Environment & Exposure: Constant work outdoors with regular exposure to weather elements and traffic, occasional exposure to loud noise, dust, debris, and jarring conditions, limited exposure to chemicals. • Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and walking, standing, occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, limited stair climbing, and crawling ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at varying heights, including overhead. • Cognitive & Sensory Requirements: Continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand-eye coordination throughout the workday. • Equipment & Tools: Operation of specialized equipment, e.g., mechanical broom sweeper, and use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills. • Safety & Protective Gear: Required use of appropriate PPE, including high-visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, foot, head, lung, and skin protection.
