Day Shift Welder - $17.00/Hour
Penmac Staffing is hiring an experienced Welder for a local manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with welding experience who are looking for a long-term position in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, experience with multiple welding techniques, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Requirements for the Welder
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of welding experience
Must be able to pass a welding test
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding diagrams, and engineering drawings
Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
Experience with TIG welding, spot welding, and cutting torch operations preferred
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Must be dependable and able to follow instructions
Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Must have steel-toed or composite-toed work shoes
Must be willing to submit to a drug screen
Welder Responsibilities
Weld metal components according to specifications and production requirements
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects or flaws
Align and position components using rulers, calipers, clamps, and measuring tools
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain quality standards and ensure finished products meet specifications
Assist in other production areas as needed
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Working Conditions
Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and welding fumes
Fast-paced setting with moving equipment, sharp edges, and congested work areas
Frequent pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, and grasping
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Pay and Schedule
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Full-time position
Overtime available and may be required based on production needs
