Day Surgery Charge RN

A Day Surgery Charge RN opportunity is available in Tamarac, FL at a 317-bed acute care hospital certified by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center, with recognized programs in orthopedic and spine care and a comprehensive behavioral health service line.

The role. Reporting within the nursing management structure, the Day Surgery Charge RN plays a hands-on leadership role in the day surgery unit, supporting admission and discharge throughput to keep patient flow efficient and care centered on the individual. The position actively participates in ongoing quality assessment of patient care services alongside the broader management team, and collaborates with subject matter experts and fellow managers to build a team environment focused on improved outcomes. The Charge RN champions a patient-first philosophy, engaging in service recovery when needed, and helps operationalize nursing engagement strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds. Additional responsibilities include contributing to staff scheduling and labor management in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines, as well as supporting inventory control and the management of supplies and equipment.

What we're looking for.

• Associate Degree
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Must have 3-5 years of pre-op RN experience
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Full-time, days with no weekends; 10-hour shifts beginning at 6: 45 AM.

Compensation. $33.49 - $48.50/hr
