Make a difference, every day.
At Youable, we work with adolescents who need structure, support, and someone steady in their corner. As a Day Treatment Mental Health Worker, you'll be right there with them, helping them to build coping skills, navigate challenges, and experience success in both the classroom and therapeutic setting.
This is a hands-on role; you'll be leading groups, supporting clients, and collaborating closely with therapists and teachers.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support therapeutic skills groups and structured activities
- Help manage behaviors in classroom and therapeutic settings
- Step in early when situations escalate using de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
- Build strong, respectful relationships with adolescents
- Work closely with therapists, teachers, and your team to stay aligned on each client's goals
- Support daily routines like meals, transitions, and activities
- Document client progress and services
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related field required; if social work, LSW required
- At least one year of experience working with youth in a mental health, behavioral, school, or similar setting
- Someone who stays calm under pressure and can think on their feet
- A team player who communicates clearly and follows through
- De-escalation or crisis intervention skills
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
Why People Stay in This Role
- Real, meaningful interactions with clients
- Strong team support; you're not handling tough moments alone
- Ongoing training to build your clinical and behavioral skills
- Clear structure to the day with enough variety to stay engaged
