Park Nicollet is looking to hire a DayBridge Partial Hospital Coordinator to join our Behavioral Health team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

The purposes of this position are: to provide program reception, client program scheduling, referral administration/information, registration, medical record and other administrative support services to designated area; and to perform related duties as assigned. This role is a resource for clients, program staff and providers regarding insurance coverage and benefits, referral/authorization requirements, coordination of benefits and preferred provider/care networks. Must possess a high degree of public contact skills with adult clients.

Major Job Duties and Tasks:

  • Provide immediate attention to inquiries in person at the front desk as people arrive and provide immediate attention to answering the telephone
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate internal and external referral/authorization processes
  • Medical records responsibilities
  • Misc.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30pm

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Meets one of the following:

  • Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, an equivalent program, or a customer service program

  • Two years experience as a medical receptionist

  • Two years experience in a customer service position

  • Two years experience in medical insurance or patient billing

  • Preferred experience with Epic registration and scheduling

  • Preferred experience with medical insurance and prior authorizations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic computer and keyboard proficiency required
  • Demonstrated customer service skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively by telephone and in person
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to be accurate and attentive to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team with co-workers, providers and all customers
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Exceptional customer service skills (internal and external customers)
  • Demonstrated ability to systematically and skillfully respond to telephone calls and customer requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to verbally understand and read the English language
  • Demonstrated ability to write in English legibly, using correct grammar
