What You Will Do
This role helps support classrooms where help is needed most. During the summer, this position is full-time in our school-age program. During the school year, you will support before and after school care, and assist in other classrooms while school-age children are at school.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping with classroom activities, games, projects, and daily routines
- Supporting children during meals, transitions, outdoor play, and group activities
- Supervising children during before and after school care
- Helping with summer field trips
- Keeping classrooms, buses, and activity areas clean, organized, and safe
- Providing positive guidance and support to children
- Communicating with team members and families as needed
- Driving children to and from school or scheduled field trips as needed
What We Need From You:
We need team members who are reliable, flexible, and enjoy working with children. - Available Monday through Friday
- Willing to help in other classrooms
- Full time availability to work within our hours of 6:00 am to 6:30 pm as scheduled
- Willing to support where needed
- Show up on time and stay for your full shift
- Comfortable being active throughout the day and lifting up to 50 pounds
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license/Clean driving record
- Willing to safely drive a large sized vehicle for preschool & school-age children
Qualifications - Patient, caring, and dependable
- Enjoys working with school-age children
- Able to stay organized and handle a busy environment
- Food Handler Permit
- First Aid and CPR, or willing to get certified
- Willing to complete required child care training
- At least 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record
