Daycare Teacher - Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience - Jenison, MI

Pay: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Jenison is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to build a rewarding career in early childhood education. Youll work as part of a supportive teaching team while helping children learn, explore, build friendships, and develop new skills each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily classroom routines and age-appropriate learning experiences
• Engage children through play, art, stories, music, movement, and hands-on activities
• Encourage language development, independence, creativity, and social-emotional skills
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
• Support meals, rest time, outdoor play, transitions, and other daily routines
• Help prepare classroom activities and learning materials
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and engaging classroom
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with children preferred
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and eager to learn
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
