Daycare Teacher

WowMoms World Long Island is a family-focused wellness and activity center dedicated to supporting parents and children in a nurturing and enriching environment. We are seeking a compassionate and creative Daycare Teacher to join our team and provide exceptional care and guidance to children in our daycare program.

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that fosters learning, creativity, and emotional growth.
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities, incorporating play-based learning, arts, crafts, and motor skill development.
• Supervise and interact with children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Encourage positive behavior and support social development by modeling empathy, kindness, and effective communication.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on their child’s progress, activities, and any concerns.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, including maintaining clean and organized classrooms.
• Collaborate with other team members to support center-wide events and initiatives, including Wow-To-Go party packages if applicable.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of child development milestones and ability to implement age-appropriate activities.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with children and their families.
• Patient, energetic, and adaptable, with a passion for nurturing young minds.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9am-3pm
