Location: Albany, NY - Onsite from day1

Duration: 6-12+ Months contract

Job Description:-

DB2 LUW Database server installation, configuration and upgrade on Linux servers.

Database disaster recovery setup (HADR).

Database server encryption using DB2 native encryption and IBM Guardium.

Manage database authentication and authorization.

Database monitoring and performance optimization; db2expln, db2advis, db2top, db2diag, db2pd etc.

Database backup and log management; database restoration from incremental/full backup image.

Database storage space (tablespaces) and memory (bufferpools) management; database capacity planning.

Design and implement database changes according to business requirement; roll-out changes to various database environments with releases.

Data movement across various database environments.

Triggers/Stored procedure/Functions/indexes creation based on application requirement.

Logical data modelling and ERD generation using Erwin.

Data loading and error resolution using load and import utilities.

Data Profiling and cleansing using SQL statements.

Perform database maintenance activities such as runstats, reorg, snapshots, prun logs etc.

Knowledge of bash/shell scripting and cron scheduling.

Basic knowledge of ETL and associated processes.
