Position: Mainframe DB2 System Programmer
Open for W2 and C2C arrangements (W2 Folks Preferred first)
Location: Chandler, AZ; Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; and Jersey City, NJ from Day 1 (Client prefer only local folks)
Hybrid Schedule: 3 Onsite Days & 2 Remote Days

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, tuning, and supporting DB2 for z/OS subsystems in a mission-critical enterprise environment. This role requires a strong background in mainframe systems and DB2 administration, along with excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain DB2 for z/OS subsystems.
• Perform tuning and optimization of DB2 systems for high performance.
• Support DB2 replication products, including QRep, SQLRep, or CDC.
• Manage DB2 software installation, upgrades, maintenance, testing, and documentation.
• Configure and manage ZPARMs, buffer pools, logs, BSDS, catalog, and directory.
• Handle DB2 Data Sharing, Sysplex, Coupling Facility, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
• Troubleshoot DB2 subsystem, performance, and connectivity issues.
• Utilize JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF for system operations.
• Work onsite three days per week as required.

• 7–12+ years of mainframe experience.
• 3–5+ years of DB2 systems programming or administration experience.
• Strong experience with DB2 for z/OS.
• Proficiency with DB2 replication products (QRep, SQLRep, or CDC).
• Knowledge of ZPARMs, buffer pools, logs, BSDS, catalog, and directory.
• Experience with DB2 Data Sharing, Sysplex, Coupling Facility, HA, and DR.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for DB2 subsystem and performance issues.
• Proficiency with JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF.
• Preferred experience with SMP/E, DB2 utilities, and performance tools.
• Familiarity with OMEGAMON or MainView, Endevor or ISPW, and z/OS Connect.
• Experience with BMC DB2 tools, ADABAS, and Natural.
• Knowledge of REXX, SQL, JIRA, RACF, TCP/IP, network certificates, and Splunk.
• Working knowledge of CICS, IMS, and MQ.

Pay Range: $65/hr - $70/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
