DC 5829 Maintenance Technician

Position Purpose Oversees, maintains, and repairs equipment as well as other facility structures in a complex warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues where needed.
• Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic.
• Performs preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, and buildings.
• Provides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies.
• Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas.

Travel Requirements

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

• Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting, handling, carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions

• Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

• Experience working on conveyor systems.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Minimum Education

• The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a trade school degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
