Job Description:

The Conveyor Supervisor will be primarily overseeing the work of technicians and assist in making decisions on technical solutions. They will schedule repairs, track associates' time off, and assess technicians' work and performance including writing performance reviews. Candidate should expect to perform job duties of a technician as needed including but not limited to preventative maintenance and repairs. This position is also responsible for ordering parts, stock room management as well as overseeing the state of DC2 (one of our two distribution centers on site). Each day will start with a group meeting and turnover from previous shift. This person will prioritize and assign work orders to be completed. They will close work orders, checking for accuracy of time allotted and parts signed out.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Troubleshoot and perform diagnostic checks on conveyor systems
  • Document repairs, parts used and time completing tasks in database
  • Resolve, investigate and determine the root cause of high jam areas
  • Audit preventative maintenance quality and time spent to completion
  • Ensure PM's are performed in a timely manner
  • Coach technicians on how to recognize potential issues during PM's and determine solutions and timelines for implementations
What Do You Need To Bring?
  • Associates degree or equivalent supervisory experience of 5+ years.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of powered conveyor and associated equipment
  • Being familiar with Rapistan / Dematic and SDI conveyors is a plus
  • Familiarity with 12v, 24v, 48v, 120v circuits as well as 120v/480v motors. Must be able to wire 480v motors
  • Basic knowledge of computers including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Be able to read electrical prints
  • Ability to follow mechanical drawings and parts breakdowns
  • Welding and machining experience a plus
  • Must be comfortable with heights
  • Familiar with lock out tag out procedures
Hours and other duties:
  • 4 days a week from 4pm to 2am on Monday through Thursday
  • Willing to work overtime when needed
  • Willing to come in early or stay late to complete repairs
  • Must be able to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Must be willing to work in other areas when needed e.g. building maintenance, lift equipment, and grounds
