Position Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems within data center infrastructure projects. This role requires advanced expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and a deep understanding of data center mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. This includes working with internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Be self-motivated and work within the MEP group as well as within other teams. Lead the design and coordination of mechanical systems for complex data center projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client requirements. Utilize advanced BIM tools and techniques to create detailed mechanical models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to integrate mechanical systems into the overall project design. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Conduct thorough reviews of mechanical designs, identifying potential issues and proposing innovative solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency. Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical design and BIM, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in project delivery. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.

Position Requirements:

Master"s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor"s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field and seven years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and five years of experience. Must have five years of experience in the following skills: (1) experience in mechanical design with a focus on data center infrastructure; (2) experience with BIM software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; (3) experience with data center mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection; and (4) experience with problem-solving and critical-thinking and identifying and resolving complex design challenges. Domestic and international travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
