DEA Compliance Specialist

Help protect patient safety and ensure regulatory excellence.

We're looking for a detail-oriented DEA Compliance Specialist to support and strengthen our controlled substance compliance program. In this role, you'll partner with pharmacy and operational teams to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, investigate potential risks, and help maintain the highest standards of accountability and patient safety.

What You'll Do

Conduct audits and monitor compliance with DEA, Board of Pharmacy, and internal regulations

Review controlled substance processes to ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and accountability

Investigate suspicious orders and potential diversion concerns

Analyze pharmacy dispensing data and compliance trends

Prepare and audit regulatory reports, including ARCOS, YERS, and SORS

Partner with department leaders to maintain compliance across operations

Assist with staff education and training on controlled substance procedures

Support licensing and registration requirements for facilities, customers, and vendors

Perform pharmacy site visits and compliance reviews

Collaborate with regulatory agencies during audits, inquiries, and investigations

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or Pharmacy Technician Certification with 5+ years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of DEA regulations, specifically Title 21 CFR Part 1300 and beyond
  • Experience in pharmacy, compliance, regulatory affairs, or controlled substance monitoring
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and apply it effectively in daily operations

Schedule: Primarily daytime hours with occasional evening and limited weekend coverage as needed.

Salary: $45-$50/k yearly
