    Description

    Join the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the 2026-2027 school year! This full-time opportunity will support students within the district's new Middle School DHH hub, helping provide specialized educational services tailored to each student's unique communication and learning needs.

    Assignment Details

    • Position: Full-time; 37.5 hours per week
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday; August 3, 2026 - May 28, 2027
    • Setting: Onsite position only
    • Assigned to the district's newly established Middle School DHH hub
    • Caseload determined by district needs
    • Student services are primarily consultative, with direct support provided as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Tennessee Department of Education (TN DOE) Certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing
    • Tennessee fingerprint clearance (required before start)
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Previous experience working with middle school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
    • Familiarity with consultative service models
    • Experience developing and implementing IEP accommodations
    • Knowledge of assistive technology and accessibility supports
    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide consultative and instructional services to middle school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
    • Support classroom teachers with accommodations and instructional strategies
    • Participate in IEP meetings and monitor student progress
    • Collaborate with administrators, related service providers, and families
    • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with special education regulations
    • Foster student independence, communication skills, and academic success
