Parts Support Specialist

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract with Possible Extensions
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Standard Business Hours

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Parts Support Specialist to provide technical and operational support to a nationwide dealer network. In this role, you will research parts inquiries, resolve order issues, provide technical application guidance, and ensure timely communication regarding parts availability, pricing, shipping, and delivery status.

This position is ideal for someone with automotive parts experience who enjoys problem-solving, working with multiple systems, and delivering exceptional customer support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve dealer inquiries related to automotive parts, applications, and order status.
  • Identify and recommend the correct part numbers based on technical specifications and vehicle applications.
  • Provide information regarding parts availability, pricing, substitutions, and estimated delivery times.
  • Process and prioritize various order types, including urgent orders, drop shipments, stock orders, dealer-to-dealer transfers, and employee orders.
  • Coordinate with distribution centers and internal teams to verify inventory, expedite shipments, and resolve order issues.
  • Track domestic and international shipments and provide updates on shipping and delivery status.
  • Respond to dealer inquiries regarding invoicing, pricing, billing, credits, and parts statements.
  • Manage a personal queue of customer inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses while meeting established service level expectations.
  • Maintain and update technical parts information, databases, and documentation.
  • Research blocked or delayed parts issues and assist with issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and databases.
  • Escalate complex dealer issues when appropriate and follow through to ensure resolution.
  • Support special projects and assist with onboarding and training of new team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive parts, logistics, dealership operations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and major vehicle components.
  • Familiarity with automotive parts catalogs, diagrams, and parts lookup systems.
  • Experience researching technical parts information and determining correct part applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and databases simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
