Primary Job Functions: Assist the high school administrative team to provide leadership and direction for staff and students in accomplishing our mission: Inspired Students. Engaged Learners. Empowered Citizens.

Salary: Range $53,250 - $97,000

Teacher Contract with $5,408 stipend

FLSA Status: Exempt

Assigned Workday Calendar: 185 Days +10 Additional Days

Job Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday; expected start date of 7/20/2026

Benefits:

Teaching positions are eligible for medical and dental insurance as well as supplemental benefits such as vision, life insurance, disability, etc. Provided long-term disability, TRF, 401(a) Retirement.

Paid Time Off Benefits:  9 sick days/4 personal days

Holiday Pay:  Not Eligible

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Certification: Appropriate Indiana certification, must hold or be working toward Indiana Administrative and Supervision License
  • Experience:  A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience; Experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Other: Ability to maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.

Essential Functions:

  • Administer student discipline system and attendance procedures in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Teach the values of accountability, respect, and engagement to promote a positive school culture and climate and help students reach desired behavior outcomes.
  • Collaborate with school personnel, students' families, and community resources to promote students' academic success as well as their physical, social, and mental health.
  • Identify student needs and proactively develop interventions to support students
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of the school's emergency preparedness plan. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: revise school emergency plans; organize and document school-wide emergency drills
  • Attend building and district safety meetings
  • Train staff on school safety policies and procedures
  • Develop building supervisory schedules
  • Oversee After-School Detentions and Saturday School
  • Administer the Random Drug Testing Program in accordance with district policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of building and district programs and initiatives (e.g. freshman orientation, AIM Mentors, PBIS, MTSS, etc.)
  • Assist in the interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training of new certified and support staff personnel
  • Supervise and evaluate support staff.
  • Supervise students during non-instructional times such as before/after school, during passing periods and during lunches
  • Attend and supervise after-school, evening, and weekend school-sponsored events as assigned
  • Perform other duties and assume responsibilities as assigned by the Principal and/or Assistant Principals

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
