The Debur / Machine Helper is responsible for performing finishing and post-processing operations on machined or fabricated components to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications. This role supports production efficiency by handling parts after machining— such as deburring, polishing, cleaning, inspecting, and preparing them for packaging or subsequent operations. The Machine Helper works closely with machine operators and quality control to maintain product standards and production flow. Key Responsibilities: - Perform post-processing tasks including deburring, grinding, polishing, cleaning, or other finishing operations as specified.
- Inspect parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish; report any deviations to supervision or quality personnel.
- Use hand tools, power tools, or automated finishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring materials and parts are properly labeled and staged.
- Assist in the movement and handling of materials and finished goods within the production area.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with machine operators to ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime.
- Document production activities, including quantities completed, time tracking, and any issues encountered.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and basic blueprint reading a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and tools. ·
Pay Range: $20 - 21/ hour
