This position is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, machining marks, and excess material from precision machined components while ensuring every part meets customer specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products. Required Experience & Skills High school diploma or GED required Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to read and follow written work instructions Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and willingness to learn Essential Duties & Responsibilities Deburr machined metal and plastic components using hand, pneumatic, and rotary tools Remove burrs, sharp edges, machining marks, and excess material without affecting part dimensions Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings Perform visual inspections to ensure finished parts meet quality standards Handle materials carefully to prevent cosmetic or dimensional damage Prioritize workload to meet production schedules and deadlines Complete production records and documentation accurately Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE Assist with additional production duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing or machine shop experience Experience with deburring, polishing, finishing, or assembly operations Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift Frequent use of hands and wrists while operating hand and pneumatic tools Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs regularly Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE Work Environment Precision machining and manufacturing facility Fast-paced production environment focused on quality and efficiency Exposure to machining equipment, metal and plastic components, and manufacturing processes Overtime opportunities available based on production needs Why You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive starting pay based on experience Stable second-shift schedule with a four-day work week Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Opportunity to develop precision finishing and quality inspection skills Team-oriented workplace with opportunities for career growth and advancement Ready to Apply?
