Background

Augmentation services to assist the Department and Technology staff in meeting that goal.
B. Minimum Qualifications of Candidate
The Department is seeking a Decision Support Specialist professional with the following minimum qualifications
(these qualifications must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks):
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work
experience. Related work experience will be considered.
Minimum 3 years of IT work experience in business intelligence tools and systems.
Ability to work with the business and senior IT leadership to identify and establish information requirements,
develop, and implement decision support strategies that utilize data warehouse systems to enhance business
processes and manage business intelligence.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of data warehouses; and the configuration and auditing
of data warehouses to ensure quality control of data.
Provide guidance regarding the use of the decision support capability of systems to deliver information, and
subject matter expertise regarding current systems and emerging technology.
Work with the Data Services Tableau and Data Warehouse teams to develop, implement, and enhance
access to EFS Modernization data via Tableau.
Improve access quality of self-service analytics for stakeholders.
Build diagnostic and predictive analytics capabilities.
Ability to work with other Project Managers and under the leadership of a Project Manager
Experience working in state government is highly preferred
Deliverables/Tasks
The Decision Support Specialist key deliverables include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintaining decision support and business intelligence analytics for the EFS modernization project.
Actively participate in meetings or other project activities to produce project deliverables
Producing monthly status reports that outlines accomplishments and planned activities for the following
month
Understanding the project requirements and project goals and using that understanding to produce project
deliverables
Communicating project progress and information to key stakeholders.
Assisting in the preparation of information for program leadership team, executive steering committee, and
project management as appropriate.
Ensuring technical direction and standards for decision support analytics access and security are being
followed.
Identifying and eliminating obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation. Assist in the
development and implementation of contingency plans.
Participating in conference calls with State and Federal stakeholders, as necessary.
