Overview

Under minimal supervision, responsible for implement and supporting the EMR module related to scheduling and referrals

for the Access Center. Creates, analyzes and supports provider and ancillary templates and scheduling configuration to

maximize patient access for assigned operational units. Serves as a technical Subject Matter Expert on template design

strategy. Provides consultative support to operations on template implementation and configuration. Assures that provider

and ancillary schedules are generated/modified efficiently and in a timely manner. In partnership with Operations and IT,

provides analysis, testing, documentation, problem resolution and implementation of solutions as they apply to scheduling

within UFHP. Responsibilities will include significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders and other parties

relative to the further development of centralized administrative services, including but not limited to, scheduling,

registration and referral management.

Responsibilities

Applications Analyst/Department Builder - responsible for

implementation and support of Epic's applications related to

scheduling, referrals, smart phrases, and MyChart. Build

decision trees as needed to support the Access Center.

Analyze, design, test, and validate the application.

Template Design and Optimization - Creates, analyzes and

supports provider and ancillary templates and scheduling

configuration to maximize patient access for assigned

operational units.

Relationship Manager - Proactively meets with and creates

partnerships with operations managers in order to coordinate

optimal template designs, ensure appropriate maintenances

and answer questions and solutions include system template

standards

Issue resolution - Analyzes problems and issues as they

arise, offer effective solutions in a timely manner.

Access Center Culture - Contributes to the overall

effectiveness of the team and the patient care mission by

integrating the values of the department into work patterns,

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

Administration, Allied Health, Health Care management, Hospitality Management, etc.) required.

A master's degree is preferred.

Four years of medical practice experience.

Bachelor's degree in an applicable field (Business or Associate degree plus two years medical experience may

substitute for Bachelor's degree requirement.

One year of Access Center agent/float, ACU Manager, or clinic supervisor experience preferred.

Minimum of one year previous supervisory/management experience preferred.

Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to develop key issue consensusamong stakeholders (clinic/department managers & administrators, staff, Access Center leadership).

Must have adequate skills in spreadsheet, database, and presentation programs.

Excellent writing skills are required.

Must be able to perform under stress when confronted withemergency, critical, or unusual situations.

Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, ordecisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria.

Must have the adaptability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
