Deck Installer Crew Lead (Carpentry/Outdoor Construction)

We at Fence & Deck Depot are seeking an experienced craftsman to join our team in as a Lead Deck Installer. This position supports our deck field crews across the greater St. Louis area. This is a full-time, year-round outdoor role focusing on deck installations for residential and commercial projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Laying out jobs
• Managing job operations, delegating tasks and managing crew.
• Loading and unloading materials
• Digging holes and using shovels
• Using basic hand tools (tape measures, hammers, speed square)
• Using basic power tools (circular saws, nail guns, drills, impact screw gun).
• Reading a level
• Driving vehicles
• Daily reporting on job progress and production issues to Production Manager
• Working occasionally on Saturdays

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experienced with power tools (mainly circular saws and drills).
• Carpentry.
• Familiar with permits / inspections
• Should enjoy working outdoors.
• Good communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Previous deck experience is required.
• Ability to read blueprints is required.
• Concrete pouring / finishing is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Being able to lift up to 80 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Performing activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $34-$39/hour DOE. After the training period is complete, the potential to earn $70k-$80k per year.
