Description

Local CDL-A Driver — Home Daily

If you are looking for a reliable local driving job with a set schedule, this dedicated grocery account is a great option. You get to sleep in your own bed every single night, run predictable local routes, and pull clean day cabs with steady year-round miles.

The Pay Structure

  • Average $1,500+ a week (Top earners on the account clear $1,800+ weekly, up to $0.62 CPM).
  • Unload & Stop Pay: Extra $37 for trailer unloads, $20 per stop, and $20 for processing backhauls.
  • Get paid an extra $25 whenever a pallet restack is required.
  • Paid Orientation: Onsite training is fully covered at a flat $100 per day.

Route & Daily Work

  • The Freight: Dedicated dry van grocery loads with occasional reefer assignments.
  • Lanes: Highly consistent local runs throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky (the vast majority of your drops are right here in Ohio).
  • Workload: 70% of the freight is drop & hook. The remaining 30% requires live unloads using an electric pallet jack.
  • Volume: Expect to hit 1,000 to 1,500 miles, 3 to 5 loads, and 5 to 7 total stops each day driving slip-seat day cabs.

Shift & Schedule Reality

  • Daily Start Time: You will clock in every day between 11:00 AM and Noon, running mostly afternoon and evening windows.
  • Availability: Grocery stores are a 24/7 operation, so working weekends and scheduled holidays is a standard part of this account's rotation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • At least 3 months of CDL-A tractor-trailer experience in the last 36 months.
  • Must live within our designated Monroe hiring radius.
