Introduction

The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer applies technical expertise with responsibility for product and process application to ensure product integrity manufacturing output while leading continuous improvements, working with both labs and factory operations. This role influences the planning and designing of manufacturing engineering processes by determining parts and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification, for both existing and new processes/product technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field
• 5 years experience in manufacturing, test, fabrication, or assembly processes
• Must be a U.S Citizen due to contractual requirements
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Product, process, manufacturing, or test engineering experience
• Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects
• Hands-on work ethic with initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide test and manufacturing support for RLG and MEMS based inertial measurement units (IMUs)
• Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health trends
• Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitating issue identification and analysis
• Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions
• Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow
• Facilitate a self-driven workforce culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals
• Test products & software
• Complete failure analysis, manufacturing assembly, and test on returned goods
