Job Details

We're looking for a litigator with 5+ years of defense experience who's ready to run their own caseload with minimal oversight. You'll independently manage matters from intake through resolution - handling depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation - while working alongside a team that values steady, long-term attorneys over short-term hires.

Matters will include premises and retail liability, general liability, Labor Law (Sections 200, 240, 241), and commercial auto/trucking litigation, with a mix of routine matters and complex, catastrophic-loss cases involving multiple parties.

What you'll do

• Independently manage a caseload of premises, auto, and Labor Law matters
• Take and defend depositions with minimal supervision
• Draft, argue, and strategize substantive motions
• Prepare cases for trial, including trial-ready matters
• Build and maintain direct client relationships
• Mentor junior associates as your caseload and seniority grow

What you'll need

• 5+ years of civil litigation / casualty defense experience
• Working knowledge of premises, auto, or Labor Law matters
• Comfort managing a caseload independently
• Trial experience preferred, not required
• Strong writing, research, and client-facing communication skills
