Job Details

Job Duties
  • Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys handling insurance defense matters from case inception through resolution, including appeals when needed.
  • Draft, proofread, and finalize pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal resources to assist with case development and motion practice.
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, and case files.
  • Review and analyze medical records, claim documentation, and other evidence while preparing chronologies, summaries, and litigation support materials.
  • Prepare and electronically file legal documents in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and filing deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, court personnel, and other parties regarding case activity, scheduling, and document coordination.
  • Maintain accurate case files, calendars, and litigation databases while tracking deadlines and ensuring timely completion of assignments.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense litigation paralegal experience.
  • Maintain 1600 billable hours annually.
  • Paralegal Certificate or Associate's Degree from an ABA-approved paralegal program is preferred.
  • Experience with iManage, PerfectLaw, CaseFleet, TrialDirector, supporting multiple attorneys, and reviewing medical records is a plus.
