As a Defense Project Manager, you will lead strategic contract sourcing and proposal efforts within the federal sector, working alongside dedicated professionals committed to excellence and impact.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Defense Project Manager to oversee and grow our federal contracting portfolio. You will be responsible for managing key procurement processes, ensuring compliance, and fostering strong partnerships with government agencies-all while contributing to missions of national importance.

What You Will Do and Achieve

• Lead end-to-end proposal development for defense and federal contracts, ensuring clarity and competitiveness
• Manage and optimize SAM.gov, DLA DIBBS, and PIEE portals to identify and secure new business opportunities
• Advise teams on FAR, DFARS, and military compliance requirements, including NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC
• Oversee military-critical data compliance, including DD2345/JCP documentation
• Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Executive teams to align strategies and deliverables
• Serve as the main contact for federal contracting officers, building strong working relationships
• Maintain detailed knowledge of CLIN/SLIN requirements to support accurate proposal submissions
• Mentor and develop junior team members to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment

Who You Are - Must-Have Qualifications

• 10+ years of federal government contracting experience, with a focus on defense and military sectors
• Deep understanding of U.S. military logistics, supply chain, and procurement processes
• Proven experience with FAR and DFARS regulations
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and proposal management tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Customer-focused listener with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Effective decision-maker with outstanding time management and organizational skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with DLA DIBBS, SAM.gov, and PIEE platforms
• Familiarity with ITAR and technical data compliance requirements (DD2345/JCP)
• Bachelor's degree (preferred, but not required)
