Defined Benefit (DB) Services provides actuarial and administration services to clients whose objective is to provide an integrated retirement plan experience.

What you'll do:

We are looking for a team member to be primarily responsible for supporting, preparing, reviewing, and delivering DB services to self-employed individuals and small businesses; producing regular deliverables, handling special requests and responding to prospect/client questions related to the DB plan. Specifically, the person will:

  • Support consultations with prospective/ongoing clients and advisors
  • Assist with the preparation and peer review annual actuarial reporting and contribution estimates
  • Assist in the preparation of government forms filings for both ongoing and terminating plans (e.g. Form 5500, Schedule SB, Annual Funding Notice, PBGC Premium, IRS Form 5310, PBGC Form 500)
  • Assist in the development of individual participant benefit calculations and distribution paperwork
  • Assist in the preparations of plan documents, plan amendments, and employer resolutions
  • Assist with resolving a wide range of issues
  • Employ good judgment in selecting methods to solve problems

  • Computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Degree(s) in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Math or equivalent experience

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
