Company Overview

So, what sets our Tree Service client  apart from other employers? State-of-the-art equipment, true love and commitment to the environment, superb customer service, dynamic work ethic, a unique philosophy, and most important the Team! Our client in  Doylestown currently has an opening for a Diesel Mechanic.

Job Summary

Hiring a Diesel Mechanic to keep our fleet in the field. You'll work on cranes, bucket trucks, chip trucks, chippers, stump grinders, and support equipment — a mix of shop work at our Doylestown location and field calls when a crew gets stuck. If you like variety, know your way around hydraulics and air brakes, and would rather fix the problem than file paperwork about it, we want to talk.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and air brake systems across our fleet -bucket trucks, chip trucks, cranes, pickups, and trailers.
  • Work on the heavy iron: Bandit/Vermeer/Morbark chippers, stump grinders, mini excavators, loaders, and other major pieces of equipment.
  • Weld, fabricate, and improvise when a repair calls for it.
  • Run our PM program and keep service records clean.
  • Handle field service calls when a truck goes down on a job.

Skills

  • Solid medium/heavy-duty diesel experience - engine, drivetrain, hydraulics, electrical.
  • Comfortable with OEM diagnostic software (CAT ET, Cummins Insite, JPRO, Allison DOC).
  • Can read schematics and chase down electrical issues on 12V and 24V systems.
  • MIG and stick welding, torch work a plus.
  • CDL Class B preferred, or willing to earn one.
  • Your own hand tools; we supply the specialty tools, air tools, and shop equipment.

Benefits:

  • 401(k) / matching
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Other benefits
