DELI-BAK MDSG/CATERING SUPVR

Position Summary:

Responsible for planning, overseeing and developing the off site food and beverage production, event service, event logistics and equipment and building maintenance of Chef's Choice Catering. Control financial aspects of food and event production, supplies and event labor. Assist in supervising Kitchen Associates in conjunction with the Executive Chef and in his absence. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Desired Previous Job Experience

• BA degree preferred

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 5 years (5A), off premise catering management or equivalent experience : 7 years (6A)
• General Computer Skills for Microsoft excel outlook and word.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel independently
• Proven leadership & customer service skills
• Proven table service and food preparation knowledge
• Ability to thrive in a team environment

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for managing in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services
• Recruit and train all catering event staff (servers)
• Oversee Executive Chef and Kitchen Team on Food Preparation
• Manage daily logistics of all catered events
• Manage or delegate set up, and breakdown of all events
• Assist the General Manager in managing daily business operations
• Manage building, equipment and van maintenance
• Track and monitor inventory, thus minimizing shrink/waste
• Multi event and location management, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve problems remotely
• Secure low prices through negotiation with vendors
• Responsible for proper safety and sanitation at off site on events
• Oversee state and federal health regulations upholding to company standards of building and off-premise events by continued training and coaching of all catering associates
• Possess and continuously demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills
• Work closely with all other department heads to ensure successful events
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports
