Requirements/Responsibilities
A Deli Bakery Associate is responsible for preparing, handling, and serving deli and bakery products while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and customer service. Key responsibilities include slicing meats and cheeses, preparing sandwiches and ready-to-eat foods, baking or finishing bakery items, packaging products, stocking displays, and maintaining fresh, attractive presentation in both deli and bakery cases. They assist customers with orders, special requests, and product recommendations while accurately labeling and pricing items. This role also involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, following food safety regulations, rotating inventory, and minimizing waste. Successful candidates should have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The position requires physical stamina for standing, lifting, and working around kitchen equipment, along with a commitment to quality, teamwork, and providing a positive shopping experience.
