Back of the House Production Clerk

Join our Back of the House Production Team and help prepare the fresh, high-quality foods our customers know and love! Team members hired for this position will be assigned to one specific production department based on their experience, interests and current hiring needs.

Available departments may include Kitchen, Bakery, Pizza, Deli, Seafood or Meat. Once hired, you will work primarily within your assigned department and receive the training needed to succeed in that role.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities will vary depending on the assigned department but may include:

• Prepare, portion, assemble or package products according to company recipes and standards.
• Follow daily production lists and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Measure, mix, cut, slice, cook or bake ingredients and products as required.
• Label, date, rotate and properly store prepared foods and ingredients.
• Check products for freshness, quality, appearance and proper temperature.
• Keep ingredients, packaging and production supplies stocked and organized.
• Operate department tools and equipment safely after completing required training.
• Maintain clean and sanitary preparation areas, equipment and storage spaces.
• Wash and sanitize utensils, trays, pans and other production equipment.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and workplace safety procedures.
• Minimize product waste by following proper preparation, portioning and storage practices.
• Communicate production needs or product concerns to department management.
• Work closely with your department manager and fellow production team members.
• Perform other department-related duties and functions as assigned.

• Previous grocery, culinary, bakery, deli, pizza, seafood, meat or food-production experience is preferred but not required.
• The ability to safely use department tools and equipment after training.
• The ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• The ability to bend, reach and lift ingredients, products or supplies as required.
• The ability to work in varying temperatures depending on the department.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
