We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our custom millwork products are delivered safely and on time to job sites.
This is a hands-on position requiring flexibility, a strong work ethic, and ability to work early morning starts and late evening hours based on project schedules and delivery demands.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company trucks to transport architectural millwork, cabinetry, doors, and other custom wood products to local and out-of-state job sites.
- Load, unload, and secure materials to prevent damage during transportation.
- Assist with moving and placing products at delivery locations.
- Inspect deliveries to verify accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Complete delivery paperwork, logs, and required documentation accurately.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Plan delivery routes and maintain communication with supervisors regarding schedules and job site conditions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of company vehicles.
- Follow DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and job site requirements.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Assist with shop support duties, material handling, or other tasks when deliveries are not scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate as required for operation of applicable company vehicles.
- Previous experience driving box trucks or similar delivery vehicles.
- Experience handling and transporting high-end architectural millwork, cabinetry, or fragile materials is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to protecting finished products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to accommodate changing project schedules.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; heavier items may require team lifting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb in and out of trucks throughout the day.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely use moving equipment, straps, dollies, and other material-handling tools.
Schedule:
This position may require:
- Early morning start times
- Extended days and late evening hours as needed.
- Overtime opportunities.
